Ambassador Roman Popadiuk was the first U.S. Ambassador to the Ukraine, appointed under President George H.W. Bush. He has written about and is frequently interviewed on issues relating to U.S.-Ukraine relations, the situation in Ukraine and other national security and global issues. He currently serves as President of the Diplomacy Center Foundation, a non-profit engaged with the State Department in building an American diplomacy museum at the State Department.
